Rent Increases and Eviction: Rights of Tenant and Landlord

Annual residential rent increases are capped at the twelve-month CPI average (TCO art. 344). Eviction requires statutory grounds such as genuine need, reconstruction, two justified notices or a valid written eviction undertaking. Mediation is mandatory before filing.
